Docker Toolbox is an installer for quick setup and launch of a Docker environment on older Mac and Windows systems that do not meet the requirements of the new Docker Desktop for Mac and Docker Desktop for Windows apps. Dec 24, 2009 We get this same message if I try to remove it, install it again, or use Clean Wipe to remove it. I think it might have something to do with the Windows Installer but could us some advice before I go any further. Any help would be appreciated, Phil C. Phil_s : Thanks for the spell check. For the error from what I can tell on this there might be some corruption in base counter settings. If you check under %SystemRoot%System32 you might find some files perfstringbackup.ini . These are taken as snapshots when counters are added to the system. You can try the following but note this may break current counters since this will reset to a prior period.

delia_mad420 : The Status 5 in your case indicates an access denied . Try 'Run as Administrator' when opening the command prompt. If that does not work you can try using Process Monitor to log events while you test this.
